Are you Mob Programming in your workplace or team? Or perhaps on an Open Source project, study project, or at a user group? I’d like to hear about it.
In the last month or so I’ve visited about 10 teams that are using Mob Programming on a regular basis, and over the last year I would guess I’ve visited over 50 teams “Mobbing” all over the world.
There are a lot of variations in the processes followed, workstation setup, practices used, style of interaction, and so on – but overall the core idea that “Working Together Works Nicely” is surfacing in every place I’ve visited.
I’d like to hear your story, and we can post it here for everyone to read if you would like. Just ping me here in the comments, or send me an email at mobprogramming at gmail dot com.
I’m looking forward to sharing your story.
Hi Woody,
Do you have videos of real MP Sessions? They would be worth watching.
We have a time-lapse video of a full day of Mob Programming. Other than that, I don’t have a video of a session.
Hi
I’ve tried with two different clients. The previous measured velocity and we definitely experienced an increase when we mob programmed.
But you must take breaks! All this input from everyone is exhausting.
Hi Woody!
Sorry I’m late to the party, but I just discovered your work and the concept of mob programming. I am totally on board, and I think it’s awesome. In fact, I’ve been trying to do this with my local meetup group, except I was calling it “crowd coding”. haha! I personally have been using BDD with Cucmber.js on AngularJS and React projects and I run a few meetup groups in the area. If you ever want to hold a mob programming session in NYC or New Jersey let me know. We would love to have you at one of our events!
Hello Jim,
Sorry for not seeing this earlier! Let’s get in touch!
Cheers,
Woody
